The Most Dangerous Thing We Could Outsource to AI Is Our Own Judgement

At a presentation during the Frankfurt Book Fair, a question emerged that deserves far more attention than the latest technological breakthrough: What happens when we stop questioning the answers we receive?

Artificial intelligence can process extraordinary amounts of information, identify patterns and produce arguments that sound remarkably convincing. But a convincing answer is not necessarily a correct one. And even a correct answer does not automatically lead to a wise decision.

Who checks the original source? Who notices what has been left out? Who considers the human consequences of a decision?

These are not simply technical questions. They concern responsibility, ethics and the very nature of independent thought.

We often ask how much more intelligent AI will become. Perhaps we should also ask what happens to our own intellectual independence as we grow accustomed to relying on it.

In this episode of UNFRAMED, I explore why human judgement may become more valuable, not less, in the age of artificial intelligence.

Because the question is no longer just what AI can do for us. It is what we must continue to do for ourselves.
