UNFRAMED GLOBE | Beyond Headlines. Beyond Borders.

I’m Yasemin Aydın. My interests lie at the intersection of social anthropology, psychology, history, and politics, particularly in the ways people make sense of the world around them.

Why do societies cling to certain beliefs? How do political narratives become collective truths? What makes people follow authority, resist change, or turn against one another? And how much of what we consider modern is simply history repeating itself in a different form?

These questions have shaped much of my work and thinking.

On UNFRAMED GLOBE, I explore everything from geopolitical conflicts and international relations to cultural identity, collective memory, political psychology, and the social forces behind human behavior.

Some of my work is rooted in current affairs and journalism. Other pieces begin with history, mythology, or an observation about everyday life. I often find that an ancient story can tell us as much about contemporary politics as the latest headlines.

I’m less interested in offering quick explanations than in understanding how things became the way they are. That means questioning familiar assumptions, looking at events from different perspectives, and occasionally challenging my own conclusions.

UNFRAMED GLOBE is where I bring these interests together, sharing essays, reflections, political analysis, and conversations about the world we live in.

Beyond Headlines. Beyond Borders.
